Our Story
Built for Those Who Keep Moving
Sloth & Duck started in 2023 with a simple idea: the best athletes aren't always the fastest. They're the ones who keep going. Our name comes from two animals that rarely get credit. The sloth, unhurried but deliberate. The duck, calm on the surface and paddling hard underneath. Together they stand for the quiet grit that gets you to the finish line, the summit and the next trailhead.
Founded on the Trail
Sloth & Duck was founded by Scott, The Sloth, and Laura, The Duck. Scott is a trail and ultra runner and the author of I Can Run A Marathon, Now What?, a guide for runners ready to make the jump to trails and their first ultra. The races finished, the races that weren't, and the miles in between all shape what we design.
Gear for Trail, Peak and Everyday
We design for trail runners, ultramarathoners, hikers and national park lovers who want gear that says something about the miles behind it. Clean designs, earthy colors and insider trail humor that moves from the trailhead to the coffee shop.
How Our Gear Is Made
Every piece is printed to order after you buy it, so we don't overproduce or sit on unsold stock. We work with trusted print partners and build on quality blanks from brands like Comfort Colors, Bella+Canvas and Gildan.
Who We Serve
Trail runners and ultramarathoners, hikers chasing summits and national park passport stamps, campers, and the trail dogs who come along for every mile. Fast or slow, first 5K or hundredth summit, if you keep moving, you belong here.
